China Spring Dance Academy

Creative Movement:  classes are for students 3-4 years old this class will be 45 minutes with a combination of ballet and tap. The class curriculum is to develop a love of dance, with basic technique in ballet and tap

Ballet: we are using the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus.  At the present moment we will not be giving  exams but will evaulate students and move them up accordingly.  The students will receive  a certificate of completion for  the level in which they are working. 

Tap:we will be teaching broadway tap, and once students understand basic steps, correct terminology and the understanding of correct movement in tap.  We will go on to teach rhythm tap.

Jazz: Students in this class should have some experience in dance and will be at least 7 years old. Students will learn turns, combinations and leaps.

Hip Hop: this class offers a wide range of movement whether it is creative or self-expression of student.  They will learn some of the basic hip hop movements, and once they have mastered the basics they will progress to harder steps.  Students must be 8 years and older to take these classes. 

Dance Team: We are very please to have Ms. Jowers start a competition dance team of young ladies of the ages 8-10 yrs. old.  We will be having auditions for this class in September.  If you are interested in this class reminder that this class will meet twice a week and their is extra expenses with traveling to competition around the area.

Cheer/Tumbling:  This class will be held on Wed and is a combo class of cheer/tumbling/dance routines.  Ms Kelli and Ms LaShae will be teaching the girls cheers, tumbling including cartwheels, handstands, back walkovers and a pom pom routine.  They will have 3 or 4 field trips for the girls.  Extra expense for the uniform and pom poms for this class

TUMBLING:We are offering 2 tumbling classes with Ms.  Amy on Saturdays and remember this is only tumbling.  Ms Amy has worked at H.O.T. and is very excited to be giving us 2 hours for tumbling only.  This class will only have 8 students so please sign up early

Zumba:  This class is drop in only $3.00 a class

Dress Code

PreSchool classes: pink leotard,pink skirt, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and tap shoes Hair is off the face and if long please put up in a  bun.

Ballet: 5-7 years old will wear pink leotard, pink skirt, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and hair up in a bun or off the face.

Ballet: 8-up years old will wear burgundy leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and belt. Hair in a bun with snood.

Tap: students will wear leotard, black jazz pants, black tap shoes, hair in pony tail

Hip Hop: students hair must be off the face in a ponytail SCDA T-Shirt, black jazz pants, black shoes

Jazz: students will be allowed to wear dance shorts, leotards, jazz pants and jazz shoes.  Hair must be off the face and if long must be in bun.
