China Spring Dance Academy

Creative Movement:  classes are for students 3-4 years old this class will be 45 minutes with a combination of ballet and tap. The class curriculum is to develop a love of dance, with basic technique in ballet and tap

Ballet: we are using the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus.  At the present moment we will not be giving  exams but will evaulate students and move them up accordingly.  The students will receive  a certificate of completion for  the level in which they are working. 

Tap:we will be teaching broadway tap, and once students understand basic steps, correct terminology and the understanding of correct movement in tap.  We will go on to teach rhythm tap.

Jazz: Students in this class should have some experience in dance and will be at least 7 years old. Students will learn turns, combinations and leaps.

Hip Hop: this class offers a wide range of movement whether it is creative or self-expression of student.  They will learn some of the basic hip hop movements, and once they have mastered the basics they will progress to harder steps.  Students must be 8 years and older to take these classes. 

Dance Company: We are very please to start with a group of extremely dedicated young dancers. I am so excited about the New Dance Company.  Best of luck to Miss Amanda and the Dance Company girls.

Dress Code

PreSchool classes: pink leotard,pink skirt, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and tap shoes Hair is off the face and if long in a ponytail or bun.

Ballet: 5-7 years old will wear pink leotard, pink skirt, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and hair up in a bun or off the face.

Ballet: 8-up years old will wear burgundy leotard with a wrap skirt.

Tap: students will wear leotard, with jazz shorts, winter tights and tap shoes.  Hair must be off the face.

Hip Hop: students hair must be off the face in a ponytail etc.  t-shirt is okay, no jeans, clothing must fit and not be baggy.  Shoes must be dance sneakers or white bottoms on the sneakers.

Jazz: students will be allowed to wear dance shorts, leotards, jazz pants and jazz shoes.  Hair must be off the face and if long must be in bun.
